K, so here's the thing. Oatmeal actually sucks. It does. If you don't buy it in those little packets with all our traditional American favorites (Apples and cinnamon, Maple and brown sugar, Cinnamon and Raisin, Cinnamon Roll, Banana Bread, etc) and don't add stuff that completely negates that healthful quality of the oats such as heaping portions of brown sugar - there is little or no reason to be eating this stuff. It's goupy, it's sloppy, it's grainy, it never looks as hot as it actually is -- meaning that tongue burnage can be expected on a regular basis, and it lowers your cholestrol which makes me feel old.

I have no love for cholestrol

But should I really be eating anything that's going to lower it at the age of not-quite-twenty?

Uh oh, it's 4.51...i'm running late - ha, and i have to stop for gas. Guess I'll be hoping I make it to work today - i'll just call one of you to get up and help me on the cell phone i definitely do not have.

Ah, morning incoherence...

Don't ever... do that... again.

And oatmeal actually tastes great completely plain. I eat it that way all the time. But the best thing to add to it is Bear Bait. It's sugar, but it's good sugar. It's all natural Birch syrup. And if you cook it correctly (ie. w/too much water so it'll steam off) then it'll be great. Like porridge. I'll make it for you sometime. It's good.

but only for the nutrition.

is there good sugar? even if its all natural? kinda skeptical on that one

scrambled eggs are a common breakfast food of mine. it's just the whole coordination thing trying to cook them in the pan in the morning without slopping them all over the stove.

i thought you couldn't cook stuff in barracks

Your morning incoherence is quite amusing. :) I prefer cream of wheat to oatmeal. My mom used to put raisins in the oatmeal when we were growing up. I hate raisins when they're cooked in stuff. I don't think I've had plain oatmeal, but the thought of it conjurs up images of the glue used for papier mache.

Mmm cream of wheat that is slightly lumpy with touch of butter and a dash of cinnamon & sugar is one of my favorite things. I had refrained from commenting about the grossness of ham and how it along with the onions and peppers completely defiles scrambled eggs, but now it must be made known. That is far nastier than cream of wheat. :P

If your oatmeal looks like glue, you are obviously incompetent. It should look like Cream of Oat Soup.

The only good oatmeal is with butter and sugar. Otherwise its all crap. And Steve, no wonder you can't get a girl!!! onions, green peppers and eggs. Just plain wrong. Sick and wrong.
