Bush (on effectiveness of hurricane relief): "the results are not acceptable"

for the first time in nearly four years I am genuinely proud of something he said. At least someone is facing the music and accepting everything is not as it should be.

yea but what's he going to do about it? send the national guard in to ensure "good triumphs over evil"? Could this be the beginning of another Iraq? There is an awful lot of oil in the south.

Well, honestly, I don't think it's Bush's problem. It's Louisiana's problem. Bush isn't at fault for everything that goes wrong in the nation. The states still have power.

But then again, does anyone have any idea who else to blame? No. So we pick Bush. I just don't think he deserves credit for fixing the problem either.

Normal people fixed New York. Normal people will fix New Orleans.

Bush has to take responsibility for the actions of the federal government. FEMA and homeland security are under him and they are who answer to him.

There is too much fingerpointing. Normal people will fix New Orleans, but i can't help but notice that Juliani was up to his knees at ground zero while new orlean's mayor has been on dry ground screaming that bush isn't doing enough. Stop complaining and start leading. That's all. And that's why I like what bush said. Someone is being something of a leader.
